Bishop Dietsche leads the Diocese of New York in apologizing for the Diocese’s complicity in the endurance of slavery

Saturday, March 25th was a solemn, somber, historic day in the Diocese of New York as Bishop Andrew ML Dietsche fulfilled his call to apologize on behalf of – and with – the Diocese. His apology was the central feature in the moving Service of Apology that, by all accounts, felt worthy of the holy work of repair that the Diocese has been pursuing for decades.
